Ms. Rachel Monteleone re-joins Team Discovery as our math teacher. She will be with the team while Mrs. Foster is out on maternity leave.  Ms. Monteleone is no stranger to Team Discovery as she was the math teacher while Mrs. Foster was on leave with her first baby three years ago.

Ms. Monteleone is a product of the Hart School District, having graduated from Hart High School.  She is part of a family of Hart District teachers.  Her dad, mom, an uncle, and an aunt all are educators in the district.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA and did post-graduate work at Colorado Mesa University where she earned a K-8 Multiple Subject Credential.  She also holds a CLAD credential.

Ms. Monteleone is an experienced substitute in the Hart District and has taught all subject areas.  In addition to her long term placements here at Rancho Pico, she also has taught the Pre-Algebra and Algebra summer math program at CSUN for three years.

Ms. Monteleone is the Hart High JV boys and JV girls volleyball coach and she also coaches club volleyball.  She enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.  She has German shepherd named Sasha.
